Urtidsfader is a black metal project by Johan von Knorring. It leans towards the more extreme side of the genre, having many sections of blast beats and double bass drum rolls at 240bpm. The guitar choice differs a bit from what is typical for the genre, using heavily downtuned 8 string guitars, along with a 5 string bass, giving everything an overall dark, muddy feeling.

"Disponibla Varmannens Världsideologi" is the debut album from Urtidsfader. It explores the more melodic side of dissonant metal, having primarily chord based guitar playing rather than riffs, often layered with orchestral instruments such as violins, contrabass, flutes, and percussive instruments. The vocals are what you'd expect from the style, consisting mostly of raspy screams, with more of an atmospheric focus than being front and center, much like the orchestral instrument layering.
