| Roger Waters - Amused to death (1992) @320K |

Roger Waters (born 6 September 1943 in Great Bookham, Surrey) is an English rock musician. He is best known as
the bass player and one of the main songwriters and lead singers in the English rock band Pink Floyd from 1964
to 1985. Following his split with Pink Floyd in 1985, Waters began a solo career, releasing three studio
albums, one soundtrack, and staging one of the largest concerts ever, The Wall Concert in Berlin in 1990. In 2005 he released an opera, Ηa Ira, and joined Pink Floyd at the Live 8 concert in London for their first public performance with Waters in 24 years.Though Waters does not talk a lot about the musical equipment he uses in
his tours and during his recordings, it is known that when he first started playing with Pink Floyd he used a
Hφfner bass, quickly replacing that with a Rickenbacker 4001S bass guitar. In the early 1970s, he switched to a
Fender Precision Bass. He often plays with a pick, but is also known to play fingerstyle occasionally. He also
uses RotoSound Jazz Bass 77 bass guitar strings. Throughout his career, he has used WEM, Hiwatt and Ashdown amplifiers. He is known to use delay, tremolo, chorus effect and phaser effects in his music.

`Amused to Death` is a concept album by former Pink Floyd bassist and leader Roger Waters, released in 1992.Amused to Death further explores Waters' disillusionment with modern Western society, focusing specifically on the influence of television and the mass media. The album was inspired by the book Amusing Ourselves to Death, a critique of television and its related culture by Neil Postman.Like every studio album Roger Waters has done since The Dark Side of the Moon, Amused to Death is a concept album. This one is organized loosely around the idea of a monkey randomly switching channels on a television, but explores numerous political and social themes, including critiques of the First Gulf War in "The Bravery of Being Out of Range" and "Perfect Sense".
