"Back to the Beginning" was Black Sabbath’s epic farewell concert held on July 5, 2025, in
Birmingham—the birthplace of heavy metal, marking the final live appearance of both the band and
Ozzy Osbourne. The original lineup—Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward
—reunited for the first time in over 20 years to perform “War Pigs,” “N.I.B.,” “Iron Man,” and
“Paranoid.” Ozzy delivered an emotional solo set from his throne, performing “I Don’t Know,”
“Mr. Crowley,” “Suicide Solution,” “Mama, I’m Coming Home,” and “Crazy Train.” The 10-HOUR
event featured a massive all-star lineup: Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Slayer, Pantera, Tool, Alice in
Chains, Anthrax, Mastodon, Lamb of God, Halestorm, and Gojira. Special collaborations included
appearances by Tom Morello (musical director), Steven Tyler, Billy Corgan, Travis Barker, Ronnie
Wood, Sammy Hagar, David Draiman, Lzzy Hale, Papa V Perpetua, and Yungblud. With
fireworks, tributes across the city, and millions watching worldwide, the concert

raising funds for charity and closing a legendary chapter in music history.
