In times like these not many things are of continuous existence. Especially for the music bizz 10 years is a rather long time. Many bands have come and gone and most of them disappeared without being noticed. Thanks that there are exceptions. Being one of them is PSYCHOPUNCH from Västeras in Sweden. The boys celebrate their 10th anniversary impressively by releasing their 7th album "Moonlight City". And just like they´ve always done they are again firing ten bullets of pure Punk'n'Roll into the listener's head. After moving into more diverse musical areas with the 2004 output "Smashed On Arrival" they continued what they've started on "Kamikaze Love Reducer" two years later. Not only cheered live shows but also increased album sales is what happened. Not chuming up, just acting consequently with "Moonlight City" the boys once again take a step in that direction. The result is fresh with natural arrangements. They are not trying to redefine themselves or escape the usual classifications. The opposite is the case. Each track is an acknowledgement for what they stand for: simple and pure Punk Rock'n'Roll with class and melody. Each song is a hit on its own. Making the decision which track would be best for a single release took nearly as much time as writing the songs. Knowing the band you know what this is about. "Moonlight City" is produced by Pelle Saether who´s been dealing with the band for ages and is a long time friend. The limited first edition comes with a bonus CD containing previously unreleased and rarely available tracks. Summing it up it's no surprise the Swedish four piece once again combines fat guitar riffing and catchy melodies with a more than suitable voice. The advanced song writing and a perfect sound round up a harmonious picture. A tour in April is currently being booked to be an even bigger success than the last one. For the last record it was said: “and there is more where that came from!” Indeed. And it's getting more and more.

“The Pleasure Kill” (2002) became an early high in the band’s career, cementing the band’s status and preparing the scenario for things to come. Sleazy rockers like "Back In The Days", "Inhale" or the unique "Apocalypso" have grown to become true classics of the punk rock scene. After further touring and appearances at major festivals like Wacken
(2003) and Summer Breeze (2003), PSYCHOPUNCH entered the legendary Sunlight studios again to lay down their highly acclaimed fifth album “Smashed On Arrival”(2004) on Silverdust Records. With songs like “Dying in your dream”, ”All over now” and “Fingerlickin’ good” the band once again proved that they are here to stay.
With their latest output “Kamikaze Love Reducer”(2006), PSYCHOPUNCH once again showed what this music is about, firing 10 shots of punk rock’n’roll straight into the brain – addiction is guaranteed, courtesy of those exceptional melodies and catchy choruses that are the band’s trademark. It seems to be unbelievably easy for PSYCHOPUNCH to deliver hit after hit, quickly captivating the unsuspecting listener.
