Into the Void: Life, Death & Heavy Metal is an eight-part documentary series that
premiered on September 22, 2025, on Hulu. Created by Evan Husney and Jason
Eisener—the team behind the acclaimed Dark Side of the Ring—the series applies
a similar investigative and humanistic lens to the high-stakes history of heavy metal.
Into The Void explores the epic struggles and the cultural impacts made by
heavy metal's most compelling artists. Their intensely personal stories about finding
success offer a unique combination of volume and distortion through tales of murder,
addiction, rebellion, and redemption
Rather than a chronological history of the genre, each hour-long episode focuses specific
artist or pivotal event, emphasizing personal struggles, tragedies, and resilience.
